Staff

JUMP! staff are professionally trained and highly motivated people who enjoy challenges and love working with youth!

Our program staff have certifications in wilderness first aid and complete rigorous internal training every spring in climbing wall management, lake-water canoeing and rescue, high ropes course operations and rescue, wilderness navigation, and backcountry camping. Our staff are skilled and curious leaders trained in challenge activity facilitation, debrief and discussion facilitation, and personal leadership activities and reflections.

Bonnie Anderson
Bonnie Anderson, Program Director

Bonnie is currently settling into life in 100 Mile House, BC, after a cross-country trek from Ontario that proved she can handle just about any logistical hurdle. As the Director of JUMP! Canada at Educo, she brings over 30 years of experience in formal and informal education—ranging from public school boards to university faculty. Bonnie is a champion of land-based pedagogy and “felt” climate education, though she has happily traded “teacher lingo” for radical candor and a facilitative leadership style that favors real talk over hierarchy.

Her journey into environmental stewardship started early—her mother famously allowed her to rear tadpoles in the bathtub—and today she remains focused on organizational resurgence and watershed protection. When she isn’t auditing systems or mentoring the next generation of leaders, Bonnie is likely out exploring the BC interior, fueled by a passion for systems thinking and a very direct approach to making a positive impact on the planet.

Alexandra Aebischer
Alexandra Aebischer, Program Manager

Alexandra was raised on a farm and trained as an outdoor leader, combining practical experience with formal qualifications. Some of these formal qualifications include an Outdoor Leadership Diploma and an Emergency Rescue Certificate. Through these experiences, Alexandra nurtured her passion for creating engaging outdoor experiences that build confidence and a lasting connection to nature that forever change each individual.

Christopher Hawke, Outdoor Instructor

Chris discovered his passion for adventurous training whilst growing up in the beautiful town of Queenstown, New Zealand. In this hub of adventure sports, he developed his skills in mountain biking, bushcraft, kayaking, rock climbing and hiking. He then honed these skills as an adventure training instructor for a decade with the Air Force and found his purpose in facilitating transformative change through experiential learning. Now based in North America, in his free time, you’ll find him exploring the outdoors whilst travelling in his campervan.

Kristina Cirillo, Outdoor Instructor

Kristina is a proud Asian-American who spent her childhood in Bellingham, WA, where she found escape within the surrounding mountains and venturing into the deep forests (usually as a forest fairy). This child-like connection pushed her to study Environmental Sciences at Montana State University, and later would spend time on the Yellowstone Bird Project.

In 2022, she relocated back to Washington state to pursue non-profit development and coordinated with underserved communities to create outdoor programming in the Pacific Northwest. In the meantime, she dedicated herself to Mountaineering and Rock Climbing with a passion to increase the accessibility and inclusivity in those spaces. She greatly believes in the powers of connection and collaboration in youth programming, and is excited to continue at JUMP!

Melanie McGraw
Melanie McGraw, Outdoor Instructor

Melanie McGraw is an outdoor educator and youth worker who believes the land is one of the best teachers we have. With an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care, she brings years of experience supporting young people in schools, residential programs, and land-based learning environments. Melanie has worked and lived in remote settings across Canada and Aotearoa New Zealand, including completing the 3,000 km Te Araroa thru-hike. This experience deepened her appreciation for community, resilience, and learning through challenge.

Her background includes guiding in Banff National Park, supervising and mentoring outdoor education teams, and facilitating reflective, inclusive group experiences. Melanie approaches her work with curiosity, patience, and humour. She is passionate about creating safe spaces where youth can build confidence, connection, and self-awareness through meaningful experiences on the land.

Aman Parchure, Outdoor Instructor

I am an outdoor educator and facilitator with a background in experiential learning, outdoor leadership, and creative media. I enjoy creating outdoor experiences that are engaging, reflective, and genuinely fun. My approach is hands-on and adaptable, using challenge, curiosity, and teamwork to help people build confidence and connection.

I’m especially interested in how outdoor spaces encourage people to step out of routine, become more present, and discover strengths they may not have noticed before. Whether it’s through group challenges, trail conversations, or moments around a campfire, I value creating environments where people feel safe to participate, reflect, and grow.

Alongside my work outdoors, I have a background in video production and storytelling, which influences how I design experiences and pay attention to meaningful moments. I aim to bring a calm, creative, and positive energy to every program while helping participants leave with stronger connections, practical skills, and memorable experiences.

Jack Sampaolo, Outdoor Instructor

Hi I’m Jack! I’m driven by nature, being in the outdoors and the power to inspire and bring people together. What hypes me is creating supportive, engaging environments where participants have a chance to bring out their adventure spirit and help them grow! Alongside this work, I am passionate about wildlife photography. I could talk all day about wildlife and I hope to create meaningful connections between people and the natural area we live in. Inspire, grow and connect.
